Protecting and strengthening families is one of the most important issues to me.

Here’s what I propose:

  • Prioritizing funding for family planning services such as Planned Parenthood.
  • Building private/public partnerships to expand pre-k education to all families.
  • Increasing economic opportunities for women through educational grants and small business microloans.

Funds for family planning counseling and to help fight poverty are priorities of mine.

Planned Parenthood provides a wide range of preventative health care to 2.5 million patients.  More than 90% of what they provide is lifesaving cancer screenings, family planning options and counseling, STD testing and annual women’s exams. They also provide safe abortion services for those who have made the difficult decision that terminating a pregnancy is the right choice for them.
